Church Planting Fund
Since our church began in 1995, we have met in a few different places, from schools to warehouses, to recreation centers. We began saving early on to buy property and build our own facility. In 1998 we began the Occoquan Bible Church Charity Golf Classic to provide a fun way to involve our congregation and community in the fund raising effort. These successful golf tourneys and the sacrificial giving of our church members through the years culminated in 2005! We are now occupying our brand new facility, located on the corner of Old Bridge Road and Springwoods Drive. We have a beautiful 15,000 square foot building on 3.3 acres of property. Dramatic growth has followed occupancy as we are ministering to approximately 400 people each Sunday. While we are deeply grateful for our new building, we must not be content, for Jesus’ commission to the church is to go “…to the ends of the earth” with the Good News! The next challenge is to start another church in Northern Virginia. We have an active church planting team planning to begin a Bible believing church in a strategic location in a nearby community. We have already begun raising funds for this exciting endeavor. The proceeds from this Tourney will go toward this effort. Thank you for your participation! I also want to invite you to see what exciting things are happening at OBC…bring your family or a friend and visit us this Sunday. Maybe we can play a round of golf afterwards.
With warmest regards,
Pastor Kyle Austin Occoquan Bible Church |
