AWANA is a international, nondenominational, Bible-centered youth organization providing weekly clubs and programs for three-year olds through high schoolers. Currently OBC offers clubs up to eighth grade.

The foundation of AWANA is the Great Commission, which Jesus gave to all believers (Matt. 28:19-20). Combining Scripture memory, Bible lessons, and games in a fun and motivating atmosphere. AWANA seeks to accomplish its twin goals of reaching boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and training them to serve Him. Besides ministering to children, AWANA also provides training opportunities for godly men and women so they can be more effective in their total church ministry. As they guide the children in their study of God's Word, leaders increase in their own knowledge of Scripture and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Children are very important at OBC. Currently, over 70 children (ages 3–11) are involved in OBC's Sunday evening program. The children have fun each week playing games, meeting other boys and girls, memorizing Bible verses, interacting with creative Bible lessons, and earning prizes during their "handbook time."
